What is the EpiCARE Genetic Platform?

The EpiCARE Genetic Platform is a Query/Matchmaker model specifically developed to allows ‘discovery' of the existence (rather than actual substance) of relevant records.

The results can be returned to users in different ways:

• Yes/no
• Counts
• Links to original data

The EpiCARE Genetic Platform is not a database but is instead a search optimized index of data.

Who is developing the EpiCARE Genetic Platform?

The EpiCARE Genetic Platform is developed by a joint venture between the EpiCARE Genetic Research workpackage (WP15) and the EJP-RD project (Prof. Tony Brookes & colleagues – Leicester University, UK) . The platform is based on the “RD-NEXUS –Cafè Variome” platform (RD Network based EXploring the UnSeen).
